Hawaiian Decorating in a Log Home?

I just moved into a beautiful log home. It is much different than my previous home. I want to keep our personality (love of tropical furniture) without it looking tacky. If anyone has any ideas on how to create an elegant tropical log home, I would love suggestions. I am having fun trying to balance out the look, but would love help. What does everything think about this decorating style?
